    This little book has some great information, but is NOT for the true "beginner". I completed a 10 week 5k training program prior to starting this 10k program and it is still moderately challenging. ChiRunning has changed my life and helped me lose 24 pounds so far, but if you're a true beginner I recommend the basic ChiRunning book by Danny Dreyer along with a "couch potato to 5k (or 10K)" program which can be found for free on the internet.
