    读者评论:

I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen. I got this book a day after Christmas and have made already the Oat Bran with Cherries and Almonds; the Savory Zucchini Pancakes; the Banana-Pecan Pancakes; and the Greens, Eggs and Yams. All of them were fantastic, very tasty, quick to make and filling.

The book contains lots of great tips on shopping for foods, preparing foods on the weekends or only a few times a week, how to deal with travel and the dreaded hotel food. There is even a section for the non-cook. Though this book is geared toward endurance athletes, you can't go wrong even if you aren't one.

I have absolutely loved diving into this beautiful, unique and practical cookbook! This cookbook has recipes to accommodate the kitchen klutz and the chef-in-training alike, with the whole range of creations looking absolutely delicious! I like that some of the meals can be whipped together in 30 seconds but are still super tasty, keeping folks out of the drive-thru and fast on their feet. I think I'll make the Savory Zucchini Pancakes first!

I received this book as a gift. I already eat a "healthy" diet and maintain a good level of endurance, but I was intrigued to read about the racing weight program and the path to follow to my ideal racing weight. The sections on diet quality and recognizing and managing hunger really caught my attention. Matt Firzgerald's explanation of the racing weight program is straightforward and clear. This book gives me all I need I to adopt the program.

Once I got beyond the the very informative first 30 pages, I was completely captivated by the photos of the recipes. I wanted to run right into the kitchen and start cooking up a healthy storm. I am a big salad and soup person, so I am can't wait to try the "Raspberry and Feta Salad with Wheat Berries" and the "Roasted Red Pepper & Red Lentil Soup."

I love to cook so I will probably try making everything. I think dividing the recipes into groups according to the cooking ability and confidence is a brilliant idea. My husband may even try his hand at some of the level 1 recipes. Georgie Fear's creativity with fresh recipes is boundless. I really appreciate the tips for grocery shopping and cooking large amounts to have good proteins and carbs readily available without having to cook as frequently.

Race out and buy The Racing Weight Cookbook - it is best first step to delicious healthy endurance.

I've been jealous of the people out there who REALLY know how to get veggies into their life. I mean, I can make a mean side of broccoli just like everybody else, but that's how my life with veggies has been. A slab of protein and a homogenous fist full of broccoli, squash, or carrots on the side. The whole, "eat the rainbow" thing seems plausible in a week, but in a single meal? But last night I had some leftover salad my wife had made the night before (flavors only intensified), quinoa fried rice, and one of the many 100% veggie based soups featured in the book. For the first time in my life, the protein, not the veggies, found itself riding in the backseat.

A few years ago when all the paleo cookbooks started coming out, I ordered a few, not knowing they'd be chock full of curry just-about-everything. This is FAR from that. Racing Weight has so much variety, practical suggestions, and information on making substitutions, etc . . .
